Adopt-A-Family Program
is the most popular program that LOKAHI provides. LOKAHI works with over 200 non-profit and social service agencies, shelters, group homes, and hospitals to identify families and individuals needing help. When you choose to adopt one or more of these families, you'll receive the family members' first names, ages, special needs and Christmas wishes, with a brief description of the challenges they are facing and guidelines on how you can help.

Lokahi works hand in hand with over 125 nonprofit agencies, social service agencies, shelters, group homes, and hospitals helping the most deserving families and individuals.
Other ways to support Lokahi
You can adopt a group instead of a family. These are usually non-related individuals who live together in a group home or shelter. They may be senior citizens, folks with mental or physical challenges, or at-risk teens and children.
To participate with LOKAHI in ways other than the Adopt A Family program, you can conduct a drive to collect specific items (like toiletries or toys or gifts for teens or senior citizens) or coordinate a fundraiser and choose which need the proceeds should address.
You can also create a Special Event of your own - a Christmas party or tickets for movies, Water Park, or events like ballet, concerts, or sporting events, etc.
